    Hi all,

New to Jellyfin & this forum, so this is probably operator error  Upside-down-face

I've been using Tiny Media Manager (TMM) for my movie and tv show metadata. I now have everything pretty much as I want it but find that what's in JF does not reflect what I'm seeing in TMM.

I've turned off all the metadata download/fetch options under Dashboard>Libraries>Manage Libraries, so that JF can't connect to external sources.

I wasn't sure about the Nfo checkbox "Metadata savers" (is this only when I want JF to save metadata to nfos or does it need to be enabled to read from my TMM nfos???). I've tried the Nfo checkbox on & off and am not seeing a difference.

To refresh the libraries I've tried all three options (Scan for new and updated files, Search for missing metadata, Replace all metadata) and have told JF to "Replace existing images" (because the ones shown in JF are not what's in TMM) but am still not seeing what I have in TMM (and am happy with).

Jellyfin is reading at least something from some nfos because I had some that I had to build manually in TMM because there was nothing in TMDB to scrape.

The other thing to mention is that JF is pretty consistently using the series poster for each season even though I have separate season posters assigned in TMM.

FWIW this is a Win10 Pro machine, JF 10.8.13 (X64) and TMM v.4.3.14.

    Thanks in advance

compare your nfo files to official documentation https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/metadata/nfo
compare file names to official documentation https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/movies https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/shows
this is more of a TMM issue as it's not creating files that are compatible with jellyfin, jellyfin is unlikely to bend to TMM and TMM should do the bending https://www.tinymediamanager.org/help

    Thanks tmsrxzar

You were right, it looks like some of the settings in TMM were causing problems, particularly the way TV show season posters were being named. Once I compared the settings in TMM more closely with the Jellyfin doc links you provided it looks like I've fixed the issues.

Now I just have to go through and update my library again! :P
