metadata location change

there is a setting in dash/general/paths for metadata location.
Can that be on a different HDD from where the server is?
My media is all on a LAN'd MacPro with HDDs, but the server is on a mini.
The Metadata is on the mini as well.
Could I move it to one of the media storage drives on the MacPro?

Are you talking about moving the Jellyfin metadata directory itself to a network mounted path on the MacPro, or are you planning to mount one of the MacPro drives locally on the mini and point Jellyfin to it that way?
