Hi, I currently have a Plex server with 10+ years of watch history that I'd like to keep when I'm migrating to Jellyfin. I've been thinking of using something like JellyPlex-Watched to synchronize watch history (one way only).

The question is, would this sync status for library items which currently aren't on disk? I know Plex stores this information, so if I reacquire a specific season of Linux ISOs, Plex will know which episodes I've watched. I do not know if Jellyfin also does the same? I also know JellyPlex-Watched isn't an official Jellyfin project, but hopefully some of you here have some experience with it. Thanks.

I can't answer your specific question, but wanted to mention Trakt as another option.
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB
    Storage
4x WD Red Pro 6TB CMR in RAIDZ1

Did you ever figure this out? I'm needing the same and most of the scripts etc don't specify
