Hi, I've read through documentation and internet, but haven't found a hint how to organize movies with sequels.
I would like Jellyfin show them in correct sequel, but if I add a number, Jellyfin won't find my movies.

Is there anyone with a good idea for me?

    Thanks.

    This is done through Collections.

    1) Install these two plugins:

    2) Change the boxset plugin settings:

I would wait to scan all libraries until you do the next step.

    3) Make sure you have the "Automatically added to the collections" box checked in each movie library you want included.

Go back and run "Scan All Libraries".

There is now a new "Scheduled Task" in the Dashboard for TMDB boxsets.

You should have a Library on the home page called "Collections" that contain the sequels.

Edit the metadata for sort title.

Die Hard - Die Hard 01
Die Hard 2: Die Harder - Die Hard 02
Die Hard With a Vengence - Die Hard 03
Live Free or Die Hard - Die Hard 04
A Good Day to Die Hard - Die Hard 05

Conversely use the year of release to differentiate multiple series of the same series.

    Spider-Man - Spider-Man (2002) 01
    Spider-Man 2 - Spider-Man (2002) 02
    Spider-Man 3 - Spider-Man (2002) 03
    The Amazing Spider-Man - Spider-Man (2012) 01
    The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Spider-Man (2012) 02
    Spider-Man: Homecoming - Spider-Man (2017) 01
    Spider-Man: Far Frome Home - Spider-Man (2017) 02
    Spider-Man: No Way Home - Spider-Man (2017) 03
    Spider-Man: Brand New Day - Spider-Man (2017) 04

Same goes for movies with the same title that are not the same series.

War Machine - War Machine (2011)
War Machine - War Machine (2026)

Also ensure you are exporting metadata to .nfo files for future library crashes so you don't have to go through all of this the next time you need to rebuild everything.

Both of those solutions work great - personally I use 'Collections' rather than manually entering 'Sorting Titles' but MOST importantly is KodiUser's note:

Be sure to save Metadata to 'Nfo' files, its set *per library* under Libraries > Edit Library.
