I recently expanded the normal Movie Library view with additional browsing and filtering controls.
The movie library now includes a dual-range IMDb rating slider from 5.0 to 10.0. The minimum and maximum rating can be adjusted directly, making it easy to browse only movies within a preferred IMDb range. The feature is backed by my own locally maintained IMDb rating service, which also provides the rating data used throughout the custom interface.
I also added alphabetical browsing with # and A–Z selection. The # section covers titles beginning with numbers or other non-alphabetic characters. IMDb filtering and alphabetical selection can be combined, so it is possible, for example, to browse only movies beginning with a specific letter within a selected IMDb range.
Navigation was designed to work comfortably across different devices. Automatic downward loading remains available for fast browsing on mobile and desktop, while ← / → controls allow navigation through the library in 100-title blocks. The current range and total number of matching movies are displayed directly in the panel, for example “1–100 / 11,378”. This makes navigation much more practical with a Smart TV remote, where scrolling back through a very long library can otherwise become inconvenient.
An “Reset” control restores the normal full movie library and default IMDb range. The controls use larger touch- and remote-friendly targets and automatically adapt to smaller mobile screens while retaining the same functionality on desktop and Smart TV.
The existing movie-card presentation remains unchanged, including IMDb information and the previously finalized SD, HD, UHD, HDUB and HSUB media badges.
The goal of this update was to make a large Jellyfin movie collection faster to explore without replacing the familiar library experience: quick scrolling when it is convenient, direct alphabetical access when searching by title, and simple 100-title navigation when using a remote control.
