Hi, I wanted to ask if anyone else is having the same problem, or if it's just me. I have my entire library in .stream format: movies, TV shows, and music. And here's where I'm having the problem. The movies have been working fine since the last update, and the TV shows have improved, but the music only worked once and then stopped playing. I've tried several versions on Windows and Ubuntu, thinking that might be the issue, but I don't think Jellyfin has the same support for streaming music as the green app does. I love Jellyfin for its versatility and customization options, and for its large community

Can you share the ffmpeg logs from these failed playback attempts?

My first guess is file permissions, but the ffmpeg log would confirm that.

I'm not super familiar with strm files, but from what I'm reading elsewhere (old threads here and reddit) Jellyfin doesn't appear to work with music and strm files. Something about not being able to probe the file?

Spoke with a dev, confirmed music via strm files is currently non-functional.

No one on the Jellyfin team has any plans to implement this feature. If an outside contributor does, then maybe it will be implemented. You can track the issue here: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/8201
