I have a folder for new files I call TV-Overflow. Later when I assemble an entire series, I move the files to their proper drives and folders. Sometimes I watch and delete these episodes.
The first episode is: Star Trek Starfleet Academy (2026) 01x01 Kids These Days
[4K].mkv The series Starfleet Academy has been posted for 10 days or longer. Despite rescanning the folder several times, these episodes are not appearing on my list. Are there limits as to the characters in a folder or file names? I shortened the folder name to SA and rescanned the library but they are still not appearing. Thoughts or ideas are welcome. I have about 35 folders in this share.

Name your folder for this series like this:
Star Trek Starfleet Academy (2026) [tmdbid-223530]
Then under that have a folder named S01
Put your files into the S01 folder and rescan

    Standard Series naming!

    From the Jellyfin documentation:

"The Season folders should be named Season *, with * being any number. Do not abbreviate the Season name to S01 or SE01. For the best results, please pad the season number with 0s at the front to make sure each entry has the same number of digits. For example: Season 5 -> Season 05. Also do not mix Season folders with episodes in the Shows folder."

[4K] is not a valid label and I don't know what 01x01 is... Your file name could be,
Star Trek Starfleet Academy (2026) S01E01 Kids These Days - 2160p.mkv
but also in the proper directory and season number.

I have named many with the SXX and not had an issue across Emby and Jellyfin which are the 2 I am running. NOT saying it is THE right way, and I must not have seen that particular warning in the JF naming docs. Could be that they have just not updated that section recently. However, going forward I will use the Season XX wording until I see something that says otherwise, so thanks!
