    Jellyfin version: Ubuntu 10.8.10
    Install method: curl https://repo.jellyfin.org/install-debuntu.sh...
    Client: Ubuntu Firefox 116.0.3
Log file: New Thread page tells me 'The type of file you attached is not allowed...' ???

    Problem:

CBZ contents displayed as 'broken image' icon, but browser advances pages back and forth

    Notes:

Machine dual boots OS X El Capitan and Ubuntu, accessing same partitions (I'm migrating to Ubuntu)
Scanned existing Calibre library on HFS+ partition
Located story in CBZ format, EPUB format in same folder
EPUB contents displayed correctly through web browser

    Guesses on cause:

    Missing plug in?
    Missing utility app?
    Improper permissions?

I don't think CBZs are supported by vanilla Jellyfin. But the Bookshelf plugin does. Should be available in the plugin catalog.

I did see that when I was poking around, but it says you must have the .NET Core SDK installed, so I thought it was Windows only.  Hmmm...  I guess that's if you're going to build from source code.  So... I just download the zip, unpack it and drop the dll into the plugins folder?  The DLL will run on Ubuntu?

    Thanks for the help!

In the Plugins Dashboard there is a catalog. You can install it directly from that dashboard.

Ah!  Silly me, "Catalog", right in front of me.  Installed... Shutdown Jellyfin server...  Rebooted Ubuntu...

    No change.  Any ideas?

What is the library type that the CBZ files are in? The library needs to be the "Books" type.

It is indeed a 'Books' library. I will check the ownership and permissions on the folders, perhaps I needed to go a level deeper.

I've never used cbz files personally. Read over the official Comics documentation and see if you missed anything.

Nothing new in there.  It's mostly concerned with handling metadata for comics files.

I moved a sample file into a directory on another partition and added a separate Books library to test it.  It detects the file but displays it with 'broken image' icon.

I've scanned another Calibre library with CBZ files and... it's working? It appears that there are three outcomes when attempting to display a CBZ file:

    1. Images display as expected
    2. Images display as 'broken image' icon
    3. Wait circle appears and black background is displayed

I'm guessing this has to do with the dimensions or size of the images in the archive...?
