My main issues are from my music library, long library scans (went from ~1 min to ~6 min), general slowness, and much longer android music client sync times (went from ~2 min to ~15 min).

My home videos and photos library structure:
{defined library path in the library settings}/subfolder/subfolder/file.mkv

    Example:
    "{defined library path in the library settings}/Gaming/Apex Legends/Apex Legends - Part 1.mkv"

This library only contains videos. New files and sub-folders are detected during library scans with no issues.

Ah given you didn’t have issues with 11.5 it’s hard to tell the. For me I have several folders each containing a folder with another couple of folders (one for photos and one for videos) and even with only a few hundred media files (maybe a thousand or so) the main top level library folder would just have the spinning load wheel of doom and never get there.

Thanks for sharing your experience though - sorry to hear your music folders aren’t great still. Hopefully both issues are fixed before v12

I upgraded from 10.11.5 to 10.11.6. my library is decently large: 412 movies, 188 series and 3477 episodes. All went well with no issues. But you're in a different environments now again cause you went all the way back to 10.10.7. so the experience might not be the same again if you went from .5 to .6.

No, large libraries with folders are still not working properly in this release.

On a serious note, what is the hold up with this issue? Ever since the last major update half of my libraries no longer load. I can get them to load if I limit the display per page down to 10, but that makes it hard to navigate a library with hundreds of entries. What needs to be done to resolve this? What can I do to help? I'm about to start looking for a replacement for Jellyfin if this isn't resolved soon.

Also, my audiobook library, in addition to not loading unless I limit the display, no longer recognizes .m4b files. The only thing it displays is the cover art if I have them saved as an image file. I assume this has been the case since 10.11.0, but I'm not sure since I haven't been able to browse that library since the update.

Devs, mods, whomever can work on it, contact me if there's anything I can provide for resolving this. Everything I've listed here was working in 10.10.x and it's been infuriating dealing with it since the update.

I finally got my server updated from 10.7 to 10.11.5 and working smoothly, and you hit me with another update lol. I have a fairly large library, so hopefully all is good in new update. I have 3,000 1080 movies, 1,000 4k movies, 660 tv series, and 100,000 songs.

That is really frustrating - if you do go down the router of looking for a replacement please let me know what works well. I'd love to stay on Jellyfin as it's been working well for years but this "improvement" which actually breaks much of what I use it for is more than a little annoying - although it's more annoying that clients are ending support for 10.10.x so quickly. They should at least be waiting until 10.11.x works as well as 10.10.7 first!
Jellyfin 10.11.5 - soon to rollback to 10.10.7
Hopeful of a home videos and photos fix so I can come back to 10.11.x
