Finamp (beta run through TestFlight) is extremely slow at syncing downloads with Jellyfin, but the developer of Finamp did say with his latest update at the end of December "We still don't recommend to upgrade to Jellyfin 10.11.x just yet!". I just wait for the sync to complete for playing local downloaded files on my iPhone. Once they are synced, Finamp is good.

    I see.
For me 10.11.6 is slow, but its only for music, video and shows works just fine and is as fast as 10.10.7
10.10.7 is instant loading songs, while 10.11.6 is 2-3sec

Both running on the same Unraid server and client is the same W10 with Firefox (also tried chrome)

I think I will keep to 10.10.6 for now still.

@svein39, do you have any plugins that might not be working properly when scanning your music collection? Some time back, I took a look at log files and saw some issues relating to metadata lookup. Removing those removed the associated issues. I don't remember the names of the plugins, but I try to keep the number used to a minimum.

I tested the 10.11.6 installation with zero plugins  Upside-down-face

@svein39 Your log files should show what the application is doing during the slow scan. I would start there if I wanted to know what the potential problem is. Maybe submitting errors to the developers would help them understand the issue.

Or maybe someone here might be able to help if there was a specific error in your log, because Jellyfin clearly works well for some and not for others. I use it almost exclusively for a large music collection and it is fast for me on the latest version.
