Update went smooth on my end. Home videos/photos, Books, and general speeds are still not up to 10.10.7 though. My biggest issue is opening a subdirectory in Home Videos/Photos is SOOOOOO slow. I'm talking like a 15 second wait to open a folder. Please at least fix this!
I complain about Jellyfin a lot and have no idea what I'm doing.

Saludos cordiales.

Gracias por tu respuesta, eres muy amable. Smiling-face

This change seems to be the breaking issue: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/pull/15263 Can anyone familiar with the inner working check? It's super annoying that a change for what seems like a single person broke a feature that is used by many, especially considering rising energy costs.

Same here, I'm stuck with  10.11.2 for that "bug"

Any chance of a 10.10.8 which purely fixes the security issue for people who can’t use 10.11.x? It’s not ideal to have to chose between a security hole or a broken server

There won't be a new 10.10 release, we only support the latest release branch at all times and strongly suggest updating. There have been security fixes in previous 10.11 releases as well, including the first 10.11.0 one. If you so decide to keep using 10.10 we strongly suggest not exposing it to the internet.

Did roll back to 10.10.7 as well. Checking from time to time on the forums and the github page if the issue with the "home media" libraries has been resolved. Seems not to be the case. Staying at 10.10.7. Stopped automatic app updates on my firestick and my tv so i don't accidently update the clients

this build finally fixes a lot of security holes, don't revert back to older builds. it's not a wise thing to do.
it's better to stay secure and wait for the upcoming performance update than exposing your server to threads in favor of fast browsing.

Anyone else having issues with Series that have a lot of seasons...?
It seems to me that any series with more than 10 seasons (i dunno, top gear, simpsons, etc...) individual seasons will not be displayed on this version.
can someone check and confirm this, please?

I would completely agree IF 10.11 was as functional as 10.10 but unfortunately it isn’t. I’ll repeat in case you didn’t see, it’s not a case of 10.11 being a little slower (that I could cope with) it’s that the HM&P is non-functional for me. So the choice is between a server version which works (10.10.7) or one with the security fixes but doesn’t actually serve most of my media (10.11.8 ). So clearly a media server that doesn’t serve media isn’t really a viable option!

I really hope this is actually fixed in a forthcoming update as I’m really eager to upgrade, but I simply can’t until it works at least approaching as well as 10.10.7 - even 25% slower would be fine (but not ideal).

It's been more than 14 days now, were these vulnerabilities ever disclosed? I checked the Jellyfin blog and the forum but don't see anything.
