I remember in your previous posts you were running Ubuntu 22.04 with an NVMe OS drive and your media on a NAS.
Can you provide the rest of your hardware specs? Is your NAS using NFS or SMB for the network share?

Thanks guys for this release. Constant headaches for the last two days. All permissions are broken. Switching users reloads the previous user, NOTHING works on my kids tablets anymore. Freaking great. Wonderful release. Can't even downgrade because the DB was updated and spits out errors if I try to use the previous release. Excellent work.

For the record we always recommend backing up Jellyfin before upgrading so you can restore from a backup if you need to downgrade. It was stated multiple times in the blog post and release post. If you start your own post and provide more information about the issues you have and what clients you are using we can try to work through them.

Now, I don't want to rush to filing bug reports at a time when I'm sure the team is dealing with a lot, especially as my issue is fairly insignificant, so I figure I'll ask here.
Has anyone else noticed that search is much slower in the new version? I assume it's due to the new "search by tags" feature? If so, does anyone know if this feature can be toggled off? It's not particularly useful to me and I'd prefer to switch it off and spare myself the performance hit. Otherwise, so far so good with the new release!

How much slower are you noticing it? I'm not noticing much of a change from what it was before.

It's not a huge difference, but it was instant before the upgrade, and now it's got a noticeable lag, the wheel spins for a couple seconds. It's really not a big deal, but it used to be damn snappy.

Click the icon to the left of the URL in the address bar. In chrome it's something like "Cookies and Site Data", and there should be an option to delete it. Try that, then refresh the page. |
