We are pleased to announce the latest stable release of Jellyfin, version 10.9.7!

This minor release brings several bugfixes to improve your Jellyfin experience.

As always, please ensure you stop your Jellyfin server and take a full backup before upgrading!

You can find the full changelogs on the GitHub releases for the server repository and the web repository.

Release prepared with <3 by @joshuaboniface, the rest of the Jellyfin team, and contributors like you.

    Happy watching!

This is still annoying as hell for me:

I think the whole cache logic is somewhat bugged though since Jellyfin media player switched to external jellyfin-web.

Thanks for all of the ongoing bugfix patches. I know 10.9 has had its share of early problems, some of which you're still working through, but excited about the future of the platform. I've gone through enough large upgrades with the software I use elsewhere to know that major platform changes are just GONNA come with loads of unexpected bugs. Appreciate you, devs!

All my issues were resolved after uninstalling and reinstalling the windows client.

All versions shown on the dashboard appear normal.

Hmm. This release still doesn't fix my nfo-edit-not-updating problem described in the 10.9.6 thread...

Great work on this release and thank you. However I must say that Live TV with 10.8.13 has been much better overall.
I gave 10.9.7 few days a run but had to go back. No changes to photo module has been added for a long time.
I think most asked for feature has been to parameterize time delay for the slideshow. This module has not seen any work for many years.

I've found searches very slow since the 10.9 update. I'm still on 10.9.3 and searches can take forever. Windows 10 with DB on a NVME SSD.

The slow searches are almost certainly due to the addition of tag searching. I've submitted a feature request to allow disabling of tag search for those of us who don't find it useful. Feel free to upvote it: https://features.jellyfin.org/posts/2756...tag-search
