Mixed libraries are still a thing.  In fact, @theguymadmax submitted some PRs that improved the mixed library.

Every time I try to make a mixed library it completely locks up.  I have to reset server, and if it actually makes the library is always gives an error when trying to access it.  The way it was in 10.7 was absolutely perfect for how I set up my collections, even if that wasn't it's original purpose.  I'm also on windows, because I'm old and haven't taken the time to teach myself Linux yet, so that could be part of my issues.

Can you monitor the memory usage on your server? I suspect you may be running into this issue.

Native Linux install here, updated from 10.10.7 after reading very mixed performance reviews for the entirety of the 10.11 life cycle. Update went very smoothly, and performance seems fine!

Seemingly all good on a Debian 12 box.

    Steps for anyone curious:
    • apt update
    • apt upgrade jellyfin (needed as ffmpeg 7 is removed, ffmpeg 8 is upgraded. see here- https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-package-kept-back-jellyfin )
    • the command above will upgrade all (ie. it updates jellyfin-web, etc. as well)
    • remove cache from browsers (Ctrl+shift+r or ctrl+shift+delete to remove cache)
    • Run full scan

I did not need to remove any plugins as all are bundled by jellyfin or in the jellyfin repo itself.

Question though- I have not worked with sysext repos before this- whenever I get around to upgrading to Trixie (Debian 13) will the sysext repo for jellyfin migrate over fine or...?

12 works WAY better for me than 10.11 ever did Smiling-face

But I still find it strange that the ability to share an playlist with other users is still not a thing.

They are ether private or public

Long-time Jellyfin user here - just updated to 12.1 via my Podman instance running on a Debian 13 server. I held off 12.0 after reading some of the bugs, so approached 12.1 with a little trepidation, but am blown away by the improvements. It's nice to have a usable Music Video library again after the performance issues on 10.11, but the whole experience is snappier and I love the updated web-based interface too. Have successfully connected across a range of clients and devices, some of which didn't work previously (Wholphin on my Raspberry Pi 5 running LineageOS Android TV).

Looking forward to seeing how my friends and family get on, but thank you again for all your hard work on this release and Jellyfin in general. I'm so close to finally cutting the cord to my parallel Plex server (just waiting for someone to finally complete the parsing of episodic-level specials for TV shows)...

Now everything is working perfectly with your plugin update. A huge thank you!  thank you!  thank you!  thank you!  Partying-face Grinning-face

Just so you know, yes, the Google Books and Comic Vine fields are duplicated.

Hey! You are welcome. Bear in mind I don't intend to maintain this plugin repository long term, and will close it as soon as the upstream official plugin is fixed. I'll try to remember letting you know, but you might want to subscribe to notifications on the PR/official repo.
