New seasons not showing up properly

New seasons don't automatically show up when scanned by the folder watcher.
They show up in new media and in some of the Up Next views - web is showing it only on the Series view, AndroidTV doesn't queue the whole season for play.
There is no Season entry for it.

Is my database somehow corrupted? It has been through a few docker & location changes (now running from ubuntu .deb under an LXC).
Triggering a manual series refresh does often fix it.

Can you create season folders in the show's folder and then move all the files into the appropriate folder?

That can help with this kind of issue. You will need to rescan and "replace all metadata" for this show (you don't have to do the entire library).

Well triggering a manual rescan always fixes it anyway, even if file aren't moved.

At some point between posting it and finishing watching the new episodes, a Season entry did appear. Marking as unwatched did not make them appear in Next Up that I could see (though it appears a fair way down the list so I could have missed it).

It does appear after a move & rescan (as it always does). I really don't understand why mixed layout causes weird issues. My files end up like this for shows that start off being {acquired} as whole seasons, then get added to {tool type we don't talk about} for weekly {thing we don't talk about} and are automatically hard linked into just the series folder.

Oh. This is a mixed library? The weird issues are due to that library type being unmaintained. Its a legacy feature and there are frequent discussions of removing it eventually due to the buggy-ness and difficulty to maintain.
