    Hello 👋.

I currently have a Intel NUC with a celeron j3455 and 4g of ram.

I use this to host jelly (Plex before that) and several docker images.

It run pretty well considering the power but of course it can't transcode a lot of things.

I see a lot of mini PC recently who are really not that expensive with either n95 or n100 processor (I also see n97).

From what I could read this would be a pretty big leap forward from mine current setup but I still hesitate between those three cpu.

N95 (n97) seem a bit more powerful but also consume more power.

I will in not a long time, living in a van and energy will become an issue.

For you will the n100 would be enough or the extra watt is worth for the n95 (or n97).

Thanks for your feedback and help.

I almost got an N100 system, but I had a couple other future projects that needed some more CPU power. A couple other people here got N100/N97/N95 systems and were happy with the performance. If power usage is a concern, consider that they all have the same Quick Sync capability. Independent of how many EUs the GPU has. So the 6W N100 is probably the better choice.

So basically they both have the same transcode capabilities, so the difference will be mainly, do I need the extra cpu or not.
I saw that the n100 have less gpu power (at least it seem that the gpu clock can't go as high as the n95) so I was thinking that the hardware accelerated transcode would be affected

Quick Sync is a separate block in the GPU that is independent of how many EUs there are.

    okay, thanks for the info.
With a n100/n95 I can hope how many transcode at the same time ? I have a family of four so in the worst case scenario that would be four (but honestly, it never happen, if it can two transcode that would already be awesome).

    4 should be no problem.
