No scroll when rearranging order of songs in playlists

When rearranging the order of songs in a playlist using the drag handle (hamburger icon), is it just me or is there no way to scroll while holding the song? I always have to move it to the top, let go of the song, scroll up a bit, select the song again, and repeat the process. This can be quite time-consuming when dealing with large playlists.

I'm not at home to try, but you can use the scroll wheel to move down the list while you hold the song?

I tried using the scroll wheel while holding, as you suggested. It works, but it's very buggy. Most of the time, it doesn't register that I'm scrolling. It scrolls a bit, then stops, and after several more tries, it scrolls a bit again. Could you try this out and see if the same thing happens to you? 

I've attached a GIF below that shows what I mean. I am constantly scrolling, but as you can see, it doesn't consistently register my scrolling.
