    Opensubtitles search

How to make Jellyfin search for subs even if movies already have PGS ones?

Hi everyone! I'll be brief: I added the Opensubtitles plugin because i realized that using PGS subs wasn't supported by my LG C1, so it was transcoding the files to burn the subtitles. However, i think that since the movies already have PGS subtitles, when i run the opensubtitles search it sees that the movie already has subtitles and doesn't look for .srt ones. Is there a way to tell it to prioritize .srt subs, or disregard PGS ones?

In the library setting do you have the option checked for "skip if video contains embedded subtitles"

I'm not sure if that's going to solve you problem, but I myself have that option UNchecked and I can search for different subs even if I have subtitles already.

Yes, this can happen. Some subtitle agents skip downloading if subtitles are available. You can try disabling embedded subtitle detection or prioritizing .srt in the agent settings.
