Order photos by filename

Hi guys, I have my photos organized this way in my albums:

1 - The beginning
2 - Arrival to the beach
3 - The first bath ...

And I cannot find a way (besides changing the order manually in the metadata section for thousands of images) to have them ordered by filename. Images have a title (set by Apple Photos), which is usually the same as the filename minus the prefix number. Jellyfin uses that title if I select "order by name", but it is not the correct chronological order. I also tried "order by folder" (I have no idea what it actually does, I was hoping it would sort by filename), but it behaves exactly like "order by name".

I have hundreds of albums with hundreds of photos each, and the thought of having to manually change their order in the metadata section is terrifying. Would it be possible in a future Jellyfin version to add an option to order them by filename?

Give Immich a try. Pretty much self-hosted Google Photos.

I tried to use Jellyfin for photos but gave up and switched to Immich. Things have improved in Jellyfin since then, but Immich is the way to go, IMO.

Thanks TheDreadPirate. I'm not looking for a main photos app, as I already use Apple Photos that does everything I need. But when I'm on TV I find JF useful to manage all my media. My only request is a way to order them by filename (that's the way all other media managers do). I see an "order by folder" that at the moment doesn't do anything different from "order by name", and maybe it's just a bug, so I'm looking for confirmation.

When the photos are imported, it automatically uses the embedded tile in the file. But in the library options, there is a setting to prefer embedded titles as opposed to file names, implying that unselecting it (default action) would use filenames when importing media. It works like this for movies and shows, but there is no logic for the home videos/photos library. Even though that option is there, it does not affect the imported media; the embedded title is always used. So that would be the bug. 

If that is fixed, media could either be imported using embedded titles or filenames; you wouldn't have both. Besides this fix, there is no option in Jellyfin to do what you want, besides manually editing the metadata.
