What is the status for jellyfin.exe on port 8096?

    It says allowed, restricted. https://imgur.com/a/FCDpfI7

There's your problem. Should be not restricted.

Allow jellyfin.exe in the Windows firewall rules or open port 8096 specifically.

Didn't work I'm afraid. Particular episode still won't play. https://imgur.com/a/5FiubIv

I'm running out of ideas. I looked over your log again and nothing specifically stands out.

Re-reading your posts and your log, is this problem only happening with Jellyfin Media Player? In Settings > Client Settings, is it using the server's web interface or the local jellyfin-web?

It's happening with all clients, not just JMP. Android, Apple, Tizen, and JMP. I don't see the web or local option in JMP like I did in Android. Here's images of the client settings in JMP: https://imgur.com/a/vGjF0HF I've been trying different settings here to see if it makes a difference but I believe I have it back to default in the images.

I just remembered that JMP 1.11.1 exclusively uses the server jellyfin-web now. So ignore that.

Can you describe how you have your storage setup? I see you have an Dell RAID/HBA controller and a mish mash of hard drives. Are you using some sort of overlay FS? JBOD?

JBOD. Literally just disks filled with folders and files. No overlays, raid, drive pool, etc, nothing of the sort.

Are you able to do a drive health check? I'm wondering if one of the drives is failing and the episodes that are failing to play happen to be on it.

There are more then just one episode causing the same error and they are on different drives. I'd say around a dozen files in total over 3 drives. Also, I can play these files via VLC player, just not Jellyfin.

This is the drive info for the drive with the file we've been discussing though. https://imgur.com/a/FrdSyJF

This is the actual file. Wonder if it works for you or not with Jellyfin? [removed by TDP after testing]

    Negatory.  Works for me.

At this point, go ahead and submit a github issue.
