Playback Error: Playback failed due to a fatal player error

I try playing a 1080p HEVC HD clip through my web browser and I get the following error in the jellyfin log.

Can you share the ffmpeg log via pastebin. "Exited with code 1" means that ffmpeg crashed.

You have low power encoding enabled for HEVC. Your CPU/iGPU only supports low power encoding for H264. Uncheck Low Power Encoding for HEVC, save, and it should work after that.

Unchecking Low Power Encoding for HEVC solved the problem.

But, shouldn't this all be handled automatically?
Or, shouldn't there be a test script we can run that tests all the configurations and determines which ones work?

Jellyfin does not currently do that, but one of the devs has been working on adding in that functionality. No ETA.
