I have a great video to show setup on a QNAP with the docker using QNAP container station.  Unfortunately, the video, yet only 5mo old, is apparently an old version of CS, and things are quite different.  Thus, I cant get this working quite right.  I have it basically working, but the config, cache, and data folders dont seem to be mapped where I want, so if I reload the dock, I lose all my config and metadata.  So, I was hoping for a little help in the configuration of the storage settings that get the mount points proper, so they are not inside the dock, and delete if I reload the dock.

Honestly, this is probably better to ask in a QNAP specific forum/subreddit. The problem is affecting Jellyfin, but the source is QNAP. And there aren't a lot of active QNAP users here so it will be difficult to get support.

The only advise I have is to ensure that you are, in fact, creating a directory that is accessible to the container that it can write all the config files and databases to.

Hoping to catch someone.  I have a few pokes out there, and no win yet.

Question... i've been using QNAP for years and years.  Its worked great to host my files, and running PLEX pretty well.  What are people using for jellyfin as hardware?  I want a hot box that will handle a good amount of remote viewers, and high res without buffers/glitzhes (bar bandwidth isnt really the issue).

    Thanks!

We have a hardware selection guide.

    https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/admini...selection/

My signature has my specs and it can handle around 15-20 users, though I don't have nearly that many actual users.

I finally found where to update sig. Got that done. My NAS box is pretty hot as it is. I was planning to run them both (PLEX/Jellyfin) in parallel just to see how they work for me. SInce it seems I dont need to do anything with my repositories to do this. I havent looked at emby, but might even throw that in too just for fun. The only bummer thing is that I dont think I can use my gtx1650 card to do transcoding on both at the same time. You have to tell the QOS how to apply the gfx card. Its either for QNAP Apps (which PLEX has) or to a virtual pc/docker. I'll check the selection guide.

    Thx,
    Rod
