Hey everyone ๐
I've been using Jellyfin for a while and always missed having a proper way to rate and track what I watch โ not just a library, but actual scoring, top lists, and following upcoming releases.
I originally built Ratelog for me and my family (with a bit of help of OpenCode). We wanted a shared space to rate movies, keep track of what we'd watched and follow upcoming releases. But as the project grew, I thought it might be useful for others in this community too.
Ratelog is a self-hosted, open-source alternative to Letterboxd that runs on Docker.
What it does:
- Search movies & TV shows via TMDB
- Rate titles across 5 categories: Directing, Cinematography, Acting, Soundtrack and Screenplay (1โ10 in 0.25 steps)
- Auto-calculated average score per title
- Follow upcoming releases grouped by Released / Upcoming / No Date
- Personal top lists filterable by year and category
- Multi-user support with authentication
- Dark theme, responsive UI
๐ GitHub: https://github.com/golmenero/ratelog
It's still early but fully functional. Happy to hear feedback from this community.
