I'm a long time user of Plex and a little bit of Emby, and now circling back to Jellyfin to give it another go around.  Little background on my setup is a Proxmox server with LXC containers, UnRaid for media storage and an itpv subscription.   I'm also familiar with GetChannels and have experimented with that in the past.

But for Jellyfin....... What do you think is the best or preferred way to bring in your ITPV channels and keeping them sorted and grouped?

In some limited testing, I have added to 2 M3U lists and xml data to Jellyfin, 1 for Movies, and 1 for Sports (with the help of IPTVBoss to separate things).  And I can see those channels in Jellyfin's Live TV.  But it appears they are all combined into the Guide and Channels list.   Is there a way to filter the guide to a particular M3U list or 'group'?

I see there are categories for Movies, Sports, Kids, and News.  But when I try to filter on just Sports, the guide then goes blank?  And can you add to that for your own custom categories?

Is anyone adding in and managing this through NextPVR or TvHeadend plugins?  Is that the better preferred solution?    GetChannels dvr appears a little better letting me look at each M3U list separately, but it lacks in the Media functions of Jellyfin, Plex, Emby, etc.

I also set 2 channels as favorites.  However, those channels are not showing up under the favorites section?

Any feedback is appreciated as I continue that search for the 'perfect setup'  Smiling-face

Revisiting Jellyfin after experience with Plex, Emby, and GetChannels. The setup includes a Proxmox server with LXC containers, UnRaid for media storage, and an IPTV subscription.

For IPTV in Jellyfin, two M3U lists (Movies and Sports) were added using IPTVBoss, but all channels merge in the guide. Looking for a way to filter the guide by M3U list or group, but filtering by categories like "Sports" makes the guide go blank.

Also wondering if NextPVR or TvHeadend plugins are better for IPTV management in Jellyfin, as GetChannels DVR allows viewing M3U lists separately but lacks media library functions. Also run Magis TV IPTV on Jellyfin.

If you have a boat load of channels, using NextPVR or TVHeadend is definitely a good idea.

Did you find a good solution for yourself? I'm in the same boat. I have an m3u that I can provide as an external link but have problems "streaming" it correctly. I also have some groups (primarily based on regions but that should not be relevant). Did you make any progress by any chance? It would be my favorite solution to have everything in one single app so I can ditch IPTV player apps entirely.
