Hence why I asked if what I was reading, basically just some bug fixes and minor tweaks, is all we are to expect.

To me, the most exciting feature is the Media Segments API (https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/pull/12345). This implements a standard way of reporting segments in media, such as intros. This still depends on plugins to detect intros / outros, but my understanding is that this will allow clients to implement standard "Skip Intro" buttons. Keep in mind that since it's only been 6 months, instead of 2 years, there aren't going to be as many huge new features. But there are a few I'm looking forward to seeing.
Outside of new features, there are a lot of quality-of-life changes and refinements of features added in 10.9.
And many bug fixes.

One feature I'm eager to have is the addition of OriginalLanguage in the metadata, and the ability to set OriginalLanguage as prefered language, this is great. And of course the mediasegments

Two week delay due to pending changes in Web that must get in. We are currently planning for a release on October 26th.

Hope you'll also manage to catch the rest of that (localhost installs sometimes suddenly stop showing more than a blank page on anything" problem that got introduced in 10.9.10 or *.11, because right now the only workaround is to run the installer from the current version again and nothing unusual shows up in the logs. |
