Remote Access via Symfonium

I cannot add my jellyfin server as a source to symfonium and it looks like jellyfin is the source of the issue. It was working fine not long ago, but I did some reshuffling on my server this week and when I couldn't play my media I decided to delete and re-add the server (thought it might be old certificates causing it to hang or something).

When I go to add my server, I get "Authentication error. Wrong login or password". This login and password work just fine on my shield TV and my desktop.

In my jellyfin logs I can see the login attempt:

I haven't seen anyone else with this exact error, and the closets I found was resolved by setting legacy authentication enabled to "true", but I checked and mine is already set to "true".

I'm running 10.11.8 on Unraid, and the error is only happening when attempting to connect to Symfonium version 14.1.0

Tried the jellyfin mobile app and after a couple tries it worked fine, installed the findroid app to check and it worked fine. Something about the authentication between jellyfin and symfonium is borked.

for anyone still experiencing this, my problem was that when i got to the quick connect page, there was no code there for me to enter to login in with the supposedly supplied code. it turned out that i had recently installed a VPN program on my tv. a quick chat with ai confirmed that a vpn would cause the problem i was seeing & it suggested that i create a split tunnel (effectively excluding the app from the vpn). as soon as i did that the code did appear on the next try, & i was able to log in. HTH someone!
