    "Replace All Metadata" option...well...isn't

End state is to replace all metadata for media, specifically "data added"

I'm kicking off a JellyFin instance and after creating a Movie and TV library, noticed that a selection of media was always "pinned" at the top of "recently added". Come to find out that I had a number of folders and files with future created dates. No clue how that happened. Anyway, after bulk editing the file creation dates, I went to refresh all metadata in hopes to replace the "date added" field in the JellyFin metadata with the new file created date. Alas, it didn't take. It did actually work for some but others remain locked on the future date.

For TV, I deleted the entire library and created a new one. That did it. But for movies, I'm about 3 weeks into trickplay creation and after curating a number of collections, I'd reeeeeallly like to avoid deleting this library.

Are there any solutions for manually bulk editing jellyfin metadata?
Is there a way to force Jellyfin to update this "date added" field without deleting the entire library?

    Thanks!

"Scan all libraries" should also trigger other jobs like updating the recently added.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried to scan all libraries, refresh all metadata for the entire library, hit all 'maintenance' tasks - all in various orders. A selection of these movies/shows remain locked in their original 'date added' field unless updated manually via the web UI.

You can use tinyMediaManager to create external NFO files. In the NFO Settings, you'll find an option to adjust the "source for dateadded."

    You can choose from:
    Date added
    File creation date
    File last modification date
    Release date

The information will be updated by a library scan for new and updated files.

Yeah, I thought about the NFO route but I don't use it for any other files. I'd prefer not to kick up those efforts. From what I understand the behavior of the refresh all metadata should do the trick.
