So I have an old animated TV series that I converted from DVDs.  I'm testing Jellyfin from Plex, and what I've discovered is that when trying to view Season 1 of this series, the Roku app just crashes to desktop.  Roku app reports up to date, version 2.1, patch 4.  I have two Roku TV's that are experiencing this, two different user accounts.  If you shuffle the TV Series, it will actually play episodes from Season 1.  But you can't manually view Season 1 or pick a episode from it.  This series works fine on Android and Web versions without issue.

I tried checking the logs, but right now my log for today just has a single line:  "Error processing request."  The log timestamp is 12 AM so I don't even know if it's recent.

Anything I should be looking for?  I'm really new to Jellyfin but so far in my testing it works great.  I just can't understand why the Roku app has issues.  Plex roku app can view it fine as well, both Plex and Jellyfin are using the same directory for video files, and I've double checked permissions to the folder as well.

Can you restart jellyfin, replicate the problem on the roku, then share the full jellyfin log via pastebin.

And can you also provide the media info for the videos you're having issues with?  And what model roku you have.

Any suggestions on this? Since the videos actually play on Roku but crash when trying to view the Season 1, is it faulty metadata or something?

I haven't been able to replicate the problem.

Try turning off mpeg2 support on the Roku? This should trigger a transcode.

Sadly it was already disabled. Enabling it and messing with other playback / codec settings had no effect.

Is there a way to 'unmatch' the season in Jellyfin and re-match it to pull all new metadata? I supposed I could rename it on the backend as well. Just wondering if it's some messed up metadata it's choking on

If you rescan/refresh the show and select "Replace all metadata" from the drop down, that would identify and re-probe the codec metadata.
