i have roku client on my hisense tv, and it can see an external server no problem (seedbox)

when i try to find a local server (192.168.1.xxx, same subnet as the roku tv itself), it cant find the server. other computers on the same wifi can hit the server no problem. any ideas? there are no advanced settings i can find on the to to set subnet mask, etc.

    thanks

i can hit the machine if i set it up as a tailscale with an exit node

is it possible i dont have an https cert on the machine (ubuntu 22.04) and that makes the roku not like it?

If the url to connect is right, probably, your internal network got giddy-upped. If you haven't already, I would disconnect and reconnect your Hisense TV from the internet then try again. If that doesn't work, maybe power down your TV, wifi and computer, the power up your wi-fi router, then your computer and then your TV.

Do you have split tunneling setup for the local server? Are you configuring Jellyfin to bind to just the tailscale address?
