Since the new version 10.8.11 my roku player isn't supporting the AAC audio, probably because I don't have a soundbar connected via optical or hdmi. So Jellyfin need to remux the audio file which is not a big deal but because of this, all movies tends to skip a second behind at around 1h10m just like many were encoutering with older version of jellyfin but was fix with V10.8.10

Can you share your server specs? Hardware and OS.

Can you upload your full jellyfin logs and ffmpeg logs to https://sourceb.in/ and link back here?

The server is on a seedbox Whatbox. Not familiar with their specs.

I see that the transcodes are writing to RAM disk. Is it running out of memory?

Here's the specs on their website. Whatbox

The hardware specifications vary depending on the chosen plan, location, and availability. You can expect your server to have a powerful CPU with a Passmark score of at least 30,000, 320 GB of RAM, 40 gigabit networking, and best in class datacenter hard drives.

I have no control of how much memory is taken.

Whatbox's site is blocked here on my work computer. Do YOU get 320GB of RAM? Or is split between multiple users?

Try changing your transcode directory to the disk and see how that works for you.

Pretty sure it's split between users because 40Gbs internet speed is split.

I will ask whatbox if it’s possible cause I don’t think I have access to that kind of change.

This is a change in the Jellyfin dashboard, not on the server command line. Or do you not have access to the dashboard either?

Settings > Dashboard > Playback, scroll down about half way, Transcode Path.

I have access to Dashboard but there’s nothing there, only when I view a movie. Under General, there’s Paths with 2 options. Cache path and Metadata path.
It’s on Linux Install by Whatbox. I guess they removed that option so no one would change the path location. 😒
