    Share playlist (internal users)

Can I make my playlists ReadOnly available to other users on my server?

    Hi@all,

I was very happy this morning about the message "10.8.12 available" and the associated playlist bugfix :-)

I have already tested it and it works. Is there a possibility in JF that I can make my playlists available to other internal users? However, it should be read-only so that they cannot change anything.

I have looked at the playlists on the file system. They are all located in one directory and I did not recognize which playlist belongs to which user.

If it doesn't work, that's ok too. That is a luxury. Maybe it will come at some point. Great work!

The playlist fix in 10.8.12 is basically a revert of the playlist change from 10.8.11 that caused issues. The next major version (10.9) will contain actual changes the playlist management and permissions.

have already noticed it. Other users still have access to my playlists and can edit and delete them :-(

i had an issue like this a while ago with music playlists, my fix was to make an m3u of the playlist and then save it as read only and add the cattr +i attrubute stops people from messing with things they shouldnt. however im not sure that would work of be very effective in a video playlist possibly really time consuimg too
