SOLVED: Always Transcoding on ShieldTV

Hi all,

i just got a new TV (Samsung S95D) and plugged in my NvidiaShield.

All of a sudden, Jellyfin is always transcodig the videos. In the Dashboard it says "Format not supportet, Bitrate to high" but if i disable the transcoding options within the user, it works without any issues.
Server: 10.9.2
client: 0.16.10

Any Ideas?

Running Jellyfin on a Proxmox LXC and it worked so much better than Plex, until now.

Any Chance i can "force" direct play on the ShieldTV without a different user?

In Jellyfin on your shield you probably have the max bit rate set to auto. Change it to 120Mbps.

Its an old bug. The network speed auto detect can sometimes incorrectly report a really low connection speed causing what you are seeing.
