SOLVED: Can only log in to Jellyfin server interface via Wi-Fi, not ethernet

I use Linux Mint 22.3 and had Jellyfin server running there for a long while flawlessly. However I recently got some new ethernet cables to make a wired connection to my desktop where Jellyfin server is running rather than relying on Wi-Fi like I was previously. Suddenly I can no longer connect to my Jellyfin server interface in a browser tab. When I try to connect to the server interface at http://192.168.1.252:8096 it says Unable to connect.Can anyone help explain what the issue is or make a suggestion as to how I can fix it and access my Jellyfin server interface again? Thanks in advance!

When you changed interfaces, your server probably got a new IP from your router. Ensure you are using the current IP.

May I ask how I would determine what the current IP address is and how to fix that?

That worked. I'm at the Jellyfin interface now. Unfortunately I have a whole different problem now that I cannot recall my password. I can't even recall ever having a password for Jellyfin. Assuming I must have had one though, the Forgot Password button generates a .json file under /var/lib/jellyfin that I have no idea what to do with. The Pin inside the file in double quotes doesn't work as a password.

When you started the "forgot password" process it should have brought you to a separate page to enter the pin, not the password prompt.

Finally, I see that. Not sure why it didn't seem to work the first few times. Maybe I didn't click "Got It" like I was supposed to. I might have hit Escape instead. I was able to log in with the pin and then re-set my password to something I could remember this time in the admin interface. Thanks for the help.
