    Hi all,

I have had a look at a couple of similar threads and beleive my issue is just that my TV doesn't support the specific coded, but I'm not sure how to confirm this 100%. And since Google's search has gone to pieces with att the AI generated SEO ads, I come to you beautiful people for help.

For the record, 4:2:0 is not the same as 10-bit HEVC. 4:2:0 is the chroma subsampling which is separate from bit depth. The 1070 supports 10-bit HEVC (I have one).

The log you provided doesn't have enough info and you also did not provide the symptom and circumstances. I don't see transcoding, or much of anything. Usually when playback happens there is more info that what was provided in your log.

Is that the whole thing? Were there any ffmpeg logs? From what was provided it looked like it direct played (no transcoding).

Thanks for the info! I only set up my server recently and am still learning some definitions, etc.

You are right though, the log provided was from Unraid, not the log from the jellyfin GUI. I've attahced the logs generated from the Jellyfin Web Gui now.
symptoms: no video plays when I stream the media, just sound
circumstances: streaming over local network from media server to jellyfin tv app

    Edit: additional info
    Screencap of playback settings attached
screencap of terminal bash showing GPU is visible

let me know if you need anything else

It looks like it is always direct playing, meaning that no transcoding is happening.

I see that it is an Android TV device. What kind of device is it?
