This issue seems to affect any plugin that has an enable/disable toggle, such as DLNA and Playback Reporting to name a couple.   This issue against a previous version of Jellyfin Server / DLNA 10.0.0.0 was reported on github last year where a reader even committed a working fix but they never implemented it.

I'm on the latest Jellyfin server, 10.11.10 on Windows and I have a need for the DLNA plugin which when installed and enabled, shows DLNA version 11.0.0.0.  Whenever I go to disable the DLNA plugin, it says Restart (Jellyfin) which I do.  But instead of flipping to disabled, it shows as Deleted and also shows as DLNA 10.0.0.0 for some reason in that state.  I can't simply re-enable it even after restarting.  In order to re-enable it, I have to go through multiple restart and install attempts to even get DLNA working again.  As mentioned above, I tested with disabling Playback Reporting plugin and it behaves the same way, changing to Deleted.

Can anyone else confirm this behavior?  Can this get any traction?

Try purging the plugin, altogether, and reinstall.

    Stop Jellyfin.

    Go to C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin\Server\plugins

Delete the DLNA folder. Go to the configurations directory in the plugins folder and delete the XML for the DLNA plugin.

    Start Jellyfin.

    Install DLNA.

    Restart Jellyfin.

Thank you - that seems to have worked.
