Running JF 10.8.10 in docker on arch linux.  When playing back media with subtitles turned off things go great.  However, on a roku in the house and I just discovered in a browser when subtitles are turned on.... any subtitles... playback becomes a weird sort of jerky where it kinda blips back and forth between frames doing this sort of 3 frames forward, 2 frames back thing.  I'll include the transcode and basic logs below.  If there is anything there I can't see it but I'm not adept at reading JF transcode logs.  Furthermore I am running bazarr which is setup and IS downloading subs successfully.

JF Log (just today while I've been tinkering):

    JF Transcode logs:
    https://pastebin.com/tu8p0aBk

System is a 6c/12t xeon, 128gb of ram with mechanical drives for he media.  Radeon Pro WX 3200 GPU for transcoding.

If I can post additional logs or answer questions lemme know.  Thank you so much.

P.S. - This all worked great some time ago with an Nvidia card for transcoding. This issue has only very approximately been since the AMD card was added. The AMD card however otherwise runs fine, transcodes well, etc...

There is nothing obviously wrong according to your logs. Polaris is pretty old, I wonder if this is a driver bug or something.

Only other GPU I have handy is even older or I'd try swapping that out.  Regardless I appreciate it, thank you.

Coincidentally from your profile stats I see you are running an intel arc and I gather that it's providing transcoding?  If so I'm curious how you like it for that task?

Compared to the iGPU I used to use in my i3-12100, it isn't noticeably any better. Faster, sure. But the 12100's iGPU was fast enough to meet my worst case scenario for transcoding for my small user base. The main reason I got an A380 is for AV1 ENCODING. Which is also does well, and very quickly. I can get the same quality at about 15-20% less bit rate compared to HEVC.

For clarification, this is AV1 encoding for storing in my library. Not for transcoding to AV1. Jellyfin doesn't do that yet.

I just rebuilt this server, previously I was using intel quicsync but the new system is xeon without that so I added what I had laying round.... which was the radeon.  I have an old nvidia I can repurpose briefly to test with and if that's it I'll just grab a new card.... maybe an arc card.

I appreciate the feedback, thank youSmiling-face
