I have some anime series I have downloaded & renamed them. I usually keep them in a folder-based structure. I have attached an image for reference. Now that I have made my first Jellyfin server, it automatically fetched the metadata for some episodes & it is nowhere near correct. See the attached images below. Can anyone guide me as to what I can do here? If we cannot fix it, I'd like to disable the entire metadata fetching feature for this specific library.

Your file naming might cause problems. Follow the guidance spelled out in this doc.

    https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/shows/

All my anime is s01e01.mkv, etc., with TMDB as my main metadata provider.

Is there any way to disable the metadata fetch for that particular library? I'll have to rename my whole library & I have a ton of them & I have some names in English & some in Japanese. And I don't want to handle all that & it's not like I need any metadata.

The shows and movies library won't work if you just straight up don't want metadata. They just won't show anything.

Try using the photos library or music video library types.

There are external apps that can automate mass file renaming. Tiny Media Manager (IIRC it isn't free), one of the *arrs can as well.

Ok, that worked. I just set the type to Photos & now no Metadata is being fetched & that's exactly what I wanted. Thanks
