SOLVED: Intel Transcoding Crashes

Anyone had this issue? Transcoding with Intel GPU, but the playback randomly just halts. You can exit out and back in, works again for a bit then halts. If I do CPU transcoding or throw an Nvidia card in there its rock solid. 

Intel Driver: 31.0.101.5186 (latest I believe)
Intel I3-13100 and same results with I5-13500 (also happens on both Gigabyte and Asrock motherboards, latest available BIOS)
OS:  Currently Windows 11
Transcode drive is a dedicated 1TB SATA Samsung EVO 860 drive
(Not currently "throttling transcodes" and not using low power encoders)

There is a bug in Intel's latest drivers, the one you have installed. Revert to an older driver.

i was just looking at the same thing as TDP

somehow you have a driver version Newer than Intel lists https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...loads.html

I reverted to 5085 using a "clean" install option to purge the previous driver. Rebooted and confirmed in device manager that the driver version was accurate.
Re-enabled intel transcoding and playback lasted about 8 seconds before stopping. Same error in the logs.

Whoops, fixed my post.  I meant to have *.101* for the driver, but typo'd "102.  Intel link has the same "5186" as was originally installed on my machine.1.0.101.518

Sadly all videos. If I add an Nvidia card into the PCIE slot and install drives/switch to Nvidia transcoding in the settings, then everything is perfectly stable...

Do you have low power encoding enabled?

Neither of the low power encoding are enabled and the "throttle encodes" is not enabled either. All of those options in various combos didn't make a difference either.
Might just toss in the Quadro P2000 and leave it be.
