    Can you turn off debug logging and then replicate the problem? The log you provided is 100K+ lines of mostly noise with lots of extra escape characters. It's impossible to find anything.

    how do I turn off debugging?

    Isn't that this?

    {
    "Serilog": {
    "MinimumLevel": {
    "Default": "Debug",
    "Override": {
    "Microsoft": "Debug"
    }
    },

    Do you have two logging json files? logging.json and logging.default.json? If so, remove logging.json and make sure that the log levels in logging.default.json are at their default levels.

    Code:
    {
        "Serilog": {
            "MinimumLevel": {
                "Default": "Information",
                "Override": {
                    "Microsoft": "Warning",
                    "System": "Warning"
                }
            },

    I decided I'd uninstall and reinstall.
    Time will tell.
    If that doesn't, then I assume the default log is as you posted, and I'll pastebin.

    so far so good. did a complete wipe, including hidden files and folders related to JF.
    re-installed JFS 10.9.10 and JFMP 1.11.1.
    Scan went to 100% (took about 6 hrs, 2TB, 1100 folders) and found more LP covers than previously.
    Time will tell, if JFS discovers adds or not.

    Can you share the ffmpeg log associated with the failure? And screenshots of Dashboard > Playback.

    That transcode log doesn't appear to be the one we need. Find the transcode log for this song.

    Code:
    johnny o'keefe - track 21 rock'n'roll will stand.mp3
