SOLVED: Merge Version Plugin Duplicate Posters

Merge-Versions works for movies but with shows it "works" but duplicate posters remain.

    Hi Everyone!

I'm facing an issue with the Merge Versions plugin. While using the Merge Versions plugin works perfectly for movies, I've encountered a problem when using it for TV shows.

Here's the situation: I have two versions of TV show episodes, HD & UHD. When I use the Merge Versions plugin, the merging itself works flawlessly. However, I'm left with duplicate posters for each series, even though both posters lead to the same content.

To clarify, the duplicate posters function correctly, allowing me to select the desired version within the episode itself. The only problem is the presence of these redundant posters.

I would greatly appreciate any insights or solutions you might have regarding this issue. To add, I do not have this issue with movies, duplicate posters disappear after merging.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Plugin Settings or Options
Access Plugin Settings: Navigate to the Jellyfin dashboard or settings section.
Locate Merge Versions Plugin Settings: Find the settings related to the Merge Versions plugin, specifically for TV shows if available.
Check for Artwork Handling Options: Look for options related to artwork or poster consolidation for TV show episodes. Adjust these settings to manage or consolidate artwork for merged versions.

    Library Refresh or Metadata Re-fetch
Access Library Settings: From the Jellyfin dashboard or settings, locate the section related to your library or metadata.
Trigger Library Refresh: Look for an option to refresh your library or re-fetch metadata for the affected TV show. This process might re-evaluate metadata and artwork after the merging of versions.

    Plugin Updates
Check for Plugin Updates: Access the plugin section within Jellyfin settings.
Look for Updates for Merge Versions Plugin: Check if there's a newer version available for the Merge Versions plugin specifically.
Update the Plugin: If an update is available, install it to potentially benefit from bug fixes or improvements related to TV show metadata handling.

    Thank you for the response.

I ended up removing the folders connected to the library. Refreshed to make sure nothing was there. Then re-added the folders to the library and scanned the library making sure to replace all metadata and removing existing images.

I probably should've done that in the first place. I initially only scanned/replaced all metadata and replaced existing images, but that didn't work. Completely removing the folders from libraries did it.

Here's some instructions for anyone not familiar:

TO REMOVE FOLDERS IN A LIBRARY
Hamburger Menu (Top Left of WebUI) -> Dashboard (Under Administration) -> Libraries -> Kebab/Ellipsis Menu (3 Vertical Dots) for library in question -> Manage Library -> Minus Button on all folders -> Confirm (Red Delete Button) -> Scan All Libraries -> Make sure no movies or TV Shows show up under library -> DONE

    TO RE-ADD & REFRESH METADATA:
Hamburger Menu (Top Left of WebUI) -> Dashboard (Under Administration) -> Libraries -> Kebab/Ellipsis Menu (3 Vertical Dots) for library in question -> Manage Library -> Add Folders with media (Plus Sign) -> Kebab/Ellipsis Menu (3 Vertical Dots) for library in question -> Scan Library -> Select "Replace all metadata" -> Select "Replace existing images" -> Click "refresh" -> DONE

Hopefully this helps anyone else encountering this issue.
