Alright, I'm going under the assumption I've done something wrong, but I'm not sure what.

Two different copies of a movie, (different res whatever) each in separate folders, physically.

One of those folders, has a sub-folder, with extras, you know trailers, deleted scenes etc.

As is, they both show up in Jellyfin fine, listed separately, one showing the extras, and the other not.

If, within Jellyfin, I select both copies, then choose "group versions" Jellyfin merges the two.

They are now listed as a single entry, with a drop-down menu to select the specific version to play, However, the Extras/features are gone, there seems to be no way to access them from within Jellyfin now.

Is there a way to merge two copies of a title, and still have extras/featurettes show up?

Must I change their layout within the folder structure itself?

Is there some specific naming convention I need to use?

If you want to have both versions under one listing along with your extras you should use the "versions" syntax with both versions in the same folder.  An example from my library.

AH HA!!! That did the trick, thank you!!!

I had tried them in separate folders and the same folder, and about 100 other variations, but the names of the movies themselves were slightly different, (one had the word remastered, but not following the above syntax) thank you SO SO much!!!
