    SOLVED: New ISP, server wont work

    Hello guy's last week I've changed my ISP and got fibre installed. Now I find my self unable to use my Jellyfin server.

    My Jellyfin version is 10.8.13 .
    I've installed it with Windows installer.
    I'm unable to log in to my server and after reinstalling it I can't even do server set up because I get this error: We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again.
    It's most likely not working because of my new ISP, but I don't know why it's not working, what's causing this. Maybe it's something a simple call to my ISP could fix but I need your guys help trying to figure out what's wrong.

    new ISP usually means new router, new router usually means new LAN addresses, new router could also mean different subnet

    did you happen to check ipconfig /all to see that you are still on a subnet defined by your lan addresses?
    Defined LAN addresses : "[10.0.0.0/8,172.16.0.0/12,192.168.0.0/16]"

    also be clear here, you are accessing jellyfin from where?
    the computer it is running on, another computer on the same network or via a public internet address?

    I am attempting to access Jellyfin from a computer that is hosting the Jellyfin server (or trying to host it).
    With my old ISP I was hosting Jellyfin server on my computer then accessing it on my android TV.

    What are you typing into your browser on the host? Do you see anything?

    I just double-click on Jellyfin icon in windows hotbar that opens up http://localhost:8096/web/index.html#!/s...erver.html however I have tried simply going to http://SERVER_IP:8096, but I get default browser failed to connect to website error.

    I tried to use Plex to see if that works, but hosting media server won't work either.

    So localhost:8096 works but not the LAN IP? Is your network set to private and is there a firewall rule to allow jellyfin?

    I wouldn't say it works, this is what it looks like when I try opening Jellyfin through a little Windows hot bar icon, and this is what it looks like when I try to connect directly through the browser input bar.
           

    I did not have firewall rule to allow Jellyfin, but I changed to allow it on both public and private, also changed my network to private, but nothing has changed still get that error from first picture.

    Clear your browser cache or use an incognito tab. Replace literal "server_ip" with your server's actual IP. Something like "http://192.168.1.3:8096"
