Ok I've got the settings you've listed. Overall performance is good. Picture is very clear. Wish it was as snappy as direct play, but I guess I'd need both faster CPU and GPU to improve transcoded video and honestly it's good enough as is. I can spare the 4 seconds to load a video.
No dice means: if I uncheck HW encoding on the server config, neither client app can stream an MPEG2 video. I was guessing maybe swiftfin had extra support for different streams.
