    Version: 10.8.10

    Operating System: Windows

    Architecture: X64

The picture quality is not as good as it should be and I would like to change settings to improve it.  I went to the playback settings and changed the ones that said I could do this or that to improve the quality but that did not seem to help.  I have a screenshot of the setting but it won't let me paste it into this screen and I don't see an option to attach them.  I also have my logs and can send them via DM to the appropriate support person.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

Hey there. I'm sorry you were having trouble, but let's move this to a new thread, please. We don't want to interrupt someone else's issue, and it's important to keep issues isolated so they can get appropriate attention. I believe what Venson is trying to test here is a potential problem with the parsing code. The (BD) probably SHOULD not make a difference, but we won't know until you test it otherwise. So just remove it and scan and let's see if it makes any difference. It may not.

Ok, I removed (DVD) from Season 1 & 2 of The Simpsons, as that's the content I have playback issues with (not South Park). Tested again, no joy.

Same error message, stopped at 0ms, playback stop did not have a tracker.

Apologies for any responses that seem short/rude, on the spectrum and get frustrated very easily with technology. Do my best to keep it under wraps but doesn't always work when something isn't going as it should. Weary-face

I noticed in the video metadata that the SD Simpsons video was encoded with the High 5.1 profile while the HD Simpsons and South Park are in High 4.1. The 5.1 profile should be used with 4k video or high frame rate 1080p.

So I am wondering if your device either doesn't support that profile at all or is confused by the profile/resolution mismatch.

I assume the device supports the profile as the files will play directly from the native file explorer. It's only when I throw in Jellyfin do they not play.

Is the "playback stop did not have a tracker" not at fault?

I'm not a developer, but I'm assuming the tracker referenced in that log is referring to tracking where in the video you stopped so that you can resume from that point when you start watching it later. Since it didn't seem to start playing at all, when it stopped it didn't provide the server a "resume from this time stamp."

Also, see this post from another thread.

I'm not sure if you've tried the official AndroidTV app, but maybe give it a shot?

Might also be worth trying to re-encode that episode at a lower profile level, just out of curiosity.
