    SOLVED: Question

Is there an easy way to fix the "Edit images" dialog in movies and show infinite buffering bug?

When I go into the "Edit images" dialog for movies, I sometimes get some error where it just keeps buffering forever and never adding the image. I don't know why it happens, I'm adding normal images like JPGs and PNGs. Closing and opening the dialog, reloading the window or restarting Jellyfin doesn't change anything. Last time this happened I had to reset Jellyfin and start from scratch to fix it. I couldn't find other threads for this, but to be fair, my searching skills aren't the best in the world.

Is there a way to fix this without resetting? Like deleting some cached data or configs mayhaps?

Edit: The file I uploaded was named "poster.en.jpg" and I selected it as a screenshot, because I have another poster in my native language already added.

Well, it seems like it has fixed itself by just deleting/forgetting all of them after a few hours, so I guess I'll could re-add them. That's a lot of annoying work though.

Guess I'll just live with it.

Do you keep images saved adjacent to the media? If so usually this happens when jellyfin doesn't have write permission to the media folder (atleast that's what happened in my case when I first started)

I think it would benefit having logs here. If you run in this problem again, please provide browser console errors and Jellyfin server logs if possible.

I have it in the same directory that the movies are, in a persistent storage volume, but write permissions should not be a problem considering it is able metadata to nfo files and the like. I can also delete subtitle files from the web-ui without issue.

I should have thought about that, sorry. I'll keep it in mind for next time.
