    just tried using an old image to test, no diffrence. the old version i used for testing is 10.9.7

    I meant the linux image is used by RK3588. Armbian, ubuntu-rockchip or something else?

    Thing is that with the test i performed, it was possible to convert the same exact movie that could not be transcoded into h264 with the ffmpeg directly, so i really dont get it.

    I found orangepi's kernel source repo. They are indeed missing the av1d node.

    Currently working to edit that. I'm no pro but haven't received any info from orange pi so decided to give it a shot. If I get to fix it I'll let you know, but it appears that orangepi has a big issue with this since my kernel has crashed for a third time by just doing apt upgrade.
