Nice to meet you, I'm a newbie who installed jellyfin a few days ago!

I have finished creating my library and when I looked at the web UI, I noticed that the thumbnails for the album artists are not created.
I would like to prepare my own favorite images and use them, but I don't know where to save them or what file names to use. Please tell me where to save it and what file name to use.

    I have read here carefully.

I think this is the right place and name for this file, what am I doing wrong?
I know of course that there is a way to manually assign them one by one, but since there are so many, I would like to know how to create the library automatically if possible!

You can also use the context menu in the Jellyfin UI to add images. Those will be stored in the jellyfin data folder instead of next to your media.

Thank you, but I'm sorry. I know how
However, the number of missing album artists will be large.
If there is no way to place image files in a directory and scan them, it will take a lot of effort.

Sorry, please help me solve this problem.
Let me get my question straight.

I understand that when I want to prepare the album artwork image myself, I need to save it in the album folder under the name folder.jpg or cover.jpg.

Can you tell me how to do this?

When I get home tonight I will check if Musicbrainz Picard can save images on the disk instead of embedding them in the music.

Options > Cover Art > Save cover iamges as separate files

Also this if you want it to save more types of images.

    Thanks for looking into this.

I guess my question did not come across well.
What name should jellyfin give the file name and where should I save it to in order to add the artist image or album artist image to the library?

I know this was not my question, but...
Thanks for telling me how to output the musicbrainz picard image file.
This works great as a way to output a large amount of embedded cover art.

If its specifically for the artist image, I'm not aware of a way to do that with a local image. I believe that is pulled exclusively from online metadata sources.

If I'm wrong, anyone feel free to correct me because I'd like to know as well.

Talked with one of the devs. If you want to use a local image for the Arist, you need to put an image called folder.jpg (or whatever extension) in the artist folder, not the album folder. From your post its sounds like you tried a folder.jpg in the album folders only.
