Some music files are marked with weird symbols and uplayable

Some songs on albums get marked with special symbols and are unplayable, the rest of the songs on the album play with no issues

Server version,Web version and Build version: 10.9.1
    Linux VM Ubuntu 22.04.4

Since a a few months when I add an album to the Jellyfin, it just decides that some songs are unplayable and the names contain question marks or other weird symbols.

The files have the same encoding, but a few (3-4) songs are unplayable from the Web UI, Jelly Media Player or Jellyfin Android App. I usually download FLAC and I thought that the format might be the issue, but I have tried to download MP3s of the same album and the behavior is the same for the same files.

Some of the songs indeed have special symbols but I notice this behavior with songs that don't seem to have any special symbols. I can play all the songs if I download them normally. Playback has no problems through Sonos from the same NAS location directly. The question is how does Jellyfin decide that some of the songs are not compatible and unplayable and the rest are fine.

I have been using Jellyfin for about 2 years now and this is new behavior. I hoped the new version will fix this but alas the issue persists.

I'm really unsure what to narrow the issue to. Could this be because of the files metadata having special symbols? How should I go on to investigate this? What can I try?

    Any insight will be appreciated!

Can you initiate a rescan and "replace all metadata" for one of these albums and then share your log via pastebin?
