    Good day,

first of all, thanks to all the people in this forums that help people like me that have very limited skills, but are willing to learn Grinning-face

I installed jellyfin, set up a server and it works pretty well, it works on my pc and on my Fire TV(4k)

I am having stuttering issues with my tablet though.

My specs: Beelink 12 pro N100
Tablet: Fire HD 10 (i dont know which year)

I am assuming this has to do with hardware encoding

i already found that the integrated graphics needed to be activated on the beelink in bios, which i already did

And i already set up hardware encoding in the server options, but i am still stuck with stuttering.

note:1080p streaming on tablet no issues, 4k streaming on tv no issues

Any one got an idea ?

Honestly, it is probably the trash SoC that Amazon puts in their tablets. My kid has a Kindle 7 tablet (2022 model, don't remember the exact one) and it can't play anything smoothly that is above 480P. It doesn't request transcodes unless I lower the quality selector in the Jellyfin client.

all 1080 p videos work fine on the fire hd 10... therefore i assume the issue is in the transcoding from 4k to 1080p

how can icheck if the gpu from my beelink is dedicated for this task, right now i assume this is the issue.

You'd need to share the ffmpeg log. Other users have not had performance issues with their N100s, except for 60fps 4K video.

Hmm your encode struggles to maintain realtime speed...

Can you post a screenshot what option you have checked in the jellyfin encoding tab?

I'm not too familar with the qsv encoder on windows but make sure you have the latest intel graphics driver.

Agree with Fate, I think you're missing decoder settings.

Definitely post screenshots. If ffmpeg's decode parameters in Windows are similar enough to Linux, it looks like you don't have HEVC/HEVC 10-bit decoding enabled.

    thanks for the replies

i attached the settings for transcoding, unfortunately i couldnt find the settings to send you this in english, my native language is german. I still hope this helps

i tried to check the boxes for  HEVC 10 Bit coding before your post, but this didnt help

i cannot  find anything else than qsv

    anything else i could check?

options instead of qsv are attached, but i assumed due to the N100 intel uhd graphics QSV is the way to go

regarding the drivers, just updated to newest, same issue still
what i am confused is that the gpu only uses 50%, shouldnt it be maxxed out?

    CPU is at 100%

i saw some reddit posts that it may be possible to allocate more vram to the gpu, could this resolve the issue?
