I have a folder with different films.

But I also have folders with films by actors.

You can of course make a new folder for each actor, but that wouldn't look particularly clear or nice.

My question is whether it is possible to create a folder and then subfolders with all the actors and their films?

Why not just use the 'Cast & Crew' of a movie?  For example in Jellyfin search for the movie Predator.

(Thumb 1) Click to view the details of the movie and scroll down to Cast & Crew and click Arnold Schwarzenegger.  
(Thumb 2) Click the heart icon. This adds Arnold Schwarzenegger to your favourites, found under the People section. 
(Thumb 3) Go to your favourites.
(Thumb 4) Click Arnold Schwarzenegger, under People section.
(Thumb 5) A single click here will now show every movie or TV show you have with that actor in it.

You could technically sort your Jellyfin folders like this. You just have to make sure to link each actor's folder to the Jellyfin library and NOT the top-most movie folder.

I am curious, how does this method of sorting your movies work? Movies have more than one actor.
Are you creating actor folders based on the most popular actor in a movie? Are you giving multiple actor names in the subfolder names?
